The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has allocated $3,493,701 in funding through the Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) program to several airports in North Dakota. The grants aim to support various construction and rehabilitation projects to enhance airport facilities and bring them up to current standards.

Watford City Municipal Airport Authority will receive $585,000 for a new snow removal equipment building. This project includes site work, an access driveway, and mechanical systems.

Langdon Municipal Airport Authority is set to receive $584,324 for constructing a new Taxiway B and expanding the East Apron. The grant supports the final phase of constructing 328 feet of the runway.

Cooperstown Municipal Airport Authority has been awarded $536,000 to construct a new South Taxilane and rehabilitate existing paved areas to maintain structural integrity and reduce debris.

Lakota Airport Authority will get $415,285 for rehabilitating Taxiway A pavement. Cavalier Municipal Airport Authority receives $333,500 for runway rehabilitation and related site work.

City of Mohall is granted $263,150 for drainage improvements including underdrains and storm drains. Wahpeton Airport Authority gets $248,251 for installing lighting on Taxiway A.

Adams County Airport Authority will receive $218,000 for resealing taxiways. Tioga Municipal Airport Authority is allocated $163,200 for resealing hangar Taxilane pavement.

Lastly, Kenmare Airport Authority will use its $146,991 grant to replace snow removal equipment.

The AIG Program was established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to fund modernization and safety projects at airports. To date, North Dakota airports have benefited from over $50 million through this program.
