Cost of college went up for all students at Minot State University

Tuition and fees rose 3.7 percent for 2018-19 at Minot State University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

North Dakota students paid $7,064 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $254 more than the $6,810 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 281 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.4 million and 183 students took out student loans totaling more than $1 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,189), 1,783 students used grants or scholarships totaling $7.6 million, and 1,169 students took out $7.4 million in federal student loans.
