Congratulations to our dedicated Transportation team for being awarded the Roaming Bison Award today at the Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Public Service. They were recognized as part of the Spring Storms Response Team, alongside the departments of Emergency Services, Highway Patrol and Parks and Recreation for their efforts during two April 2022 blizzards and subsequent floods. The agencies worked together to rescue stranded travelers and clear pathways for law enforcement, medical workers and utility workers in order to protect citizens and ensure efficient recovery in the storm’s aftermath.
