Two museums in North Dakota will receive a total of $111,208 in federal funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The Cass County Historical Society is set to receive $86,208 through the Museums for America grant. According to the announcement, this funding will enable the society to hire additional staff who will inventory, assess, and catalog nearly 30,000 artifacts over a three-year period.

The Ward County Historical Society will receive $25,000 from the Inspire! Grants for Small Museums program. The grant is intended to help the museum inventory, organize, and digitize its collections of more than 2,000 objects, photographs, and books related to North Dakota. With this support, the Ward County Historical Society plans to create an easily accessible archive as it expands.
