Senator Kevin Cramer, representing North Dakota in the U.S. Senate, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing issues ranging from criminal justice reform to energy policy and military remembrance.

On November 5, 2025, Senator Cramer advocated for reforms to the supervised release system for individuals reentering society after incarceration. He stated, "Supervised release should be based on individual facts to help those who need it most integrate back into society. Our bill ensures supervision is imposed on those who are at higher risk of recidivism and ensures our supervision system is not overburdened." According to recent discussions in Congress, efforts have been made to refine supervised release protocols so that resources are allocated more efficiently and public safety concerns are addressed.

Later that same day, Cramer commented on North Dakota's role in national energy production following a federal decision regarding permitting processes. He wrote on November 5, 2025: "Our state produces the nation’s lowest cost electricity, and this approval will ensure we remain leaders in energy production. Thank you to @POTUS  and @epaleezeldin for approving North Dakota’s application and restoring sanity to the permitting approval process!" North Dakota has historically been recognized as one of the top producers of affordable electricity in the United States due to its extensive coal and wind resources.

On November 6, 2025, Senator Cramer addressed military commemoration efforts related to the Vietnam War era. He stated: "Recognizing the sailors who died on the USS Frank E. Evans sends a strong message to the families of those who were lost fighting in the shadows of the war. Our bill honors them by finally memorializing their service on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall." The USS Frank E. Evans was involved in a tragic incident during joint naval exercises in 1969; until now, crew members lost had not been formally included among those commemorated on national memorials dedicated to Vietnam War casualties.
