Increased use of air conditioning during the summer months, particularly as lots of people continue to work from home, can put a strain on electrical systems

Increased use of air conditioning during the summer months, particularly as lots of people continue to work from home, can put a strain on electrical systems. To reduce the risk of home electrical fires, only plug air conditioner (A/C) power supply cords directly into wall outlets; never use extension cords. Also make sure the circuit is adequately sized for the electrical load of the A/C.
