Senator Kevin Cramer, representing North Dakota, addressed several policy issues in a series of posts on July 29, 2025.

In his first post, Senator Cramer expressed appreciation for market-based approaches to housing. He wrote, "I truly believe that a market-based solution exists and am grateful that Chairman @SenatorTimScott prioritizes these solutions and that he held, if you can imagine this, the first housing markup on @BankingGOP in over a decade." (July 29, 2025). The markup referenced by Senator Cramer marks a rare legislative event; it is the first such session held by the Senate Banking Committee’s Republican members in more than ten years.

Later that day, Senator Cramer commented on transportation safety regulations. He stated, "The idea of forcing speed limiters on trucks is ridiculous and could create safety risks for drivers in North Dakota. I'm glad to see @POTUS and @SecDuffy toss this proposed rule." (July 29, 2025). The proposal to require speed limiters on commercial trucks has been controversial nationwide. Opponents argue that mandated devices could impact driver safety and operational flexibility.

In another post addressing environmental policy, Senator Cramer noted recent clarifications regarding federal environmental regulation. He wrote, ".@epaleezeldin and @POTUS listened to the voice of reason and they clarified the role of the endangerment finding in our energy and environmental policy." (July 29, 2025). The "endangerment finding" refers to an Environmental Protection Agency determination about greenhouse gases’ threat to public health or welfare—a key component shaping national energy and climate policy since its introduction.

Senator Kevin Cramer's statements reflect ongoing debates within Congress concerning housing reform, transportation regulation, and environmental oversight.
