Senator Kevin Cramer, U.S. Senator from North Dakota, addressed several topics in recent posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account, ranging from national trucking regulations to military achievements and federal investments in unmanned systems.

On August 19, 2025, Senator Cramer commented on the withdrawal of truck manufacturers from an agreement with California regarding emissions standards. He stated, "Nice to see truck manufacturers step back from their unrealistic and overreaching pact with California. The deal would have increased prices for consumers and damaged our entire trucking industry. Thanks to @POTUS and @FTC for fighting against climate collusion!" The referenced pact was a voluntary agreement among major truck makers to align with stricter emission standards proposed by California. Critics argued these rules could raise costs for both manufacturers and consumers while impacting the broader trucking sector.

The following day, Cramer recognized members of the North Dakota National Guard who excelled in a state-level competition. On August 20, 2025, he posted: "Congratulations to Sgt. Richard Tangen and Spc. John Shrock, the winners of this year's @NDNationalGuard Best Warrior Competition. Best of luck to them as they prepare to compete at the regional level. Our North Dakota Guardsmen are the best in the nation! https://t.co/4IvU56VJPk" The Best Warrior Competition is an annual event that tests soldiers’ physical fitness and military skills.

Later that day, Senator Cramer highlighted new federal funding aimed at advancing counter-unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). He wrote: ".@POTUS' historic Big Beautiful Bill provides more than $1.3 billion in funding for development, production, and integration of counter-UAS programs. This investment doubles down on North Dakota’s leadership in unmanned systems. https://t.co/rE2bgH4jvZ" Federal investment in counter-UAS technology is seen as vital due to rising concerns about drone threats across military and civilian domains; North Dakota has become a hub for research and deployment of such technologies.

Senator Kevin Cramer has consistently focused on transportation policy issues affecting his state as well as support for military personnel and technological innovation within North Dakota’s defense sector.
