The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration has announced a $750,000 grant for Harvey Municipal Airport in North Dakota. The funding comes from the Airport Improvement Program (AIP), which supports airports across the country with planning, capital improvements, and safety upgrades.

According to the announcement, this grant will fund phase 2 of a project that involves constructing 4,270 square feet of a new hangar at Harvey Municipal Airport. The completed project will result in a sponsor-owned hangar totaling 5,625 square feet for aircraft storage. The grant also includes plans for future year funding, pending appropriations.

"The FAA AIP provides funding to airports nationwide for planning, capital, and safety enhancement projects," according to the release.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts by federal agencies to support regional airports and improve aviation infrastructure in local communities.
