Senator Kevin Cramer, a U.S. Senator representing North Dakota, shared updates on his recent tour of military and space facilities via social media posts between August 28 and August 29, 2025. His comments highlighted ongoing advancements in national defense infrastructure and expressed both encouragement and concern regarding current developments.

On August 28, 2025, Cramer described the first day of his two-day visit to a strategic launch facility: "My 1st day of a 2 day tour of @SLDelta30 was packed mtg great patriots and seeing multiple launch facilities. The new Guardians and the veteran service members are a great encouragement. I look forward to spending today with AF Secretary Meink seeing the 1st tranche of SDA https://t.co/ifcKg2Zfr0".

Later that evening, he voiced dissatisfaction with an unspecified issue, stating on August 29, 2025: "I am deeply disappointed, though not surprised, by this shallow mindset. https://t.co/ccqs2OuhyF".

In another post on August 29, Cramer praised the achievements at Space Launch Delta 30 (SLDelta30), linking them to broader national security efforts: "The impressive work being done at @SLDelta30 points back to the excellence of Grand Forks’ space infrastructure. @SemperCitiusSDA's first Tranche 1 satellites, controlled from @319thRW, increases the resilience of our nation’s space-based defense and ensures our warfighters have".

Space Launch Delta 30 is responsible for managing West Coast space launches for the U.S. Space Force. The reference to "Guardians" denotes members of the U.S. Space Force, which was established as an independent branch in December 2019. The mention of Tranche 1 satellites refers to part of the Space Development Agency's initiative to enhance satellite communications and missile warning capabilities for national defense.

Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota plays a significant role in supporting these operations through its advanced space infrastructure and is home to the 319th Reconnaissance Wing (319th RW), which provides operational control for some satellite assets.

Senator Cramer's remarks reflect ongoing Congressional interest in strengthening U.S. military readiness through investment in both personnel and technology within the nation's evolving space defense sector.
