Department of Education awards over $2 million for student support at North Dakota colleges

The U.S. Department of Education has allocated $2,139,556 to support student services at six colleges in North Dakota. The funding comes through the Student Support Services Program, which aims to help students meet basic college requirements and encourage them to complete their degrees.

The distribution of funds is as follows: North Dakota State University will receive $523,609; the University of North Dakota will get $416,200; the University of Mary is set to receive $348,514; Lake Region State College will be allocated $306,505; Minot State University and Turtle Mountain Community College will each receive $272,364.

According to the Department of Education, “The Student Support Services Program provides funding to assist students with basic college requirements and motivate them toward degree completion.”
